My physical training started in my childhood garage at age 12— with rusty dumbbells. In my teens I was an amateur bodybuilder and competed in local contests. Later as a student of acting I discovered the movement practices of Yoga, Feldenkrais, and the Alexander Technique as well as various meditation techniques. Today I continue to explore these modalities and integrate their philosophy into my work with others as a certified personal trainer and martial artist. My main martial arts practice, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the physcial touchstone in my life, along with my meditation practice. I started the Body, Mind & Culture project because I want to share what I've learned over 20 years and continue to explore though teaching and facilitating instruction.
